About Us

Dieudonne Foundation is a dedicated nonprofit organization striving to uplift and support individuals in underserved communities. Our mission is to reduce barriers to healthcare and address issues of poverty and inequality that disproportionately affect individuals. We provide access to basic care, resources, education, and support services to help individuals in need lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

OUR OFFERING

The Dieudonne Foundation offers a range of services to all individuals in underserved communities

Doula Training & Certification:

Elevate maternal journeys in BIPOC communities through our comprehensive doula training program. We're committed to equipping bilingual individuals with the skills to support expectant mothers, ensuring culturally sensitive prenatal, labor, postpartum, and newborn care.

Support Beyond Birth:

Offering more than just birth support, our services extend to providing compassionate assistance for families facing the challenges of premature births, including essential burial support arrangements.

Ensuring Accessible Care:

We understand the importance of accessible healthcare. Our initiative includes transportation assistance for expectant mothers to healthcare visits, reducing one of the significant barriers to receiving timely and adequate care.

Maternal and Infant Health Statistics

Infant Mortality

The U.S. infant mortality rate is 5.6 deaths per 1,000 live births. Black infants are more than twice as likely to die before their first birthday compared to white infants.

Maternal Health Disparities

Significant disparities exist in maternal health outcomes among BIPOC communities due to factors like lack of access to quality healthcare, socioeconomic factors, and systemic racism.

Postpartum Depression

1 in 8 women in the U.S. experience postpartum depression, which can significantly impact both maternal and infant health if left untreated.
