The Dieudonne Foundation is a community-rooted nonprofit dedicated to reducing barriers in healthcare, education, and support services for special communities. Through culturally responsive programs like our EQuiMama doula initiative, bilingual prenatal classes, and family-centered workshops, we help individuals and families thrive, especially those facing language barriers, poverty, and systemic inequities. Our mission is to uplift and empower people by creating access to care, resources, and opportunity, so they can lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Elevate maternal journeys in Underserve communities through our comprehensive doula training program. We're committed to equipping bilingual individuals with the skills to support expectant mothers, ensuring culturally sensitive prenatal, labor, postpartum, and newborn care.
Offering more than just birth support, our services extend to providing compassionate assistance for families facing the challenges of premature births, including essential burial support arrangements.
We understand the importance of accessible healthcare. Our initiative includes transportation assistance for expectant mothers to healthcare visits, reducing one of the significant barriers to receiving timely and adequate care.
The U.S. maternal mortality rate is 23.8 deaths per 100,000 live births. Black women are 3-4 times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women.
The U.S. infant mortality rate is 5.6 deaths per 1,000 live births. Black infants are more than twice as likely to die before their first birthday compared to white infants.
Significant disparities exist in maternal health outcomes among BIPOC communities due to factors like lack of access to quality healthcare, socioeconomic factors, and systemic racism.
1 in 8 women in the U.S. experience postpartum depression, which can significantly impact both maternal and infant health if left untreated.
