Mechanical Assembler | Details and Compensation:

  • Location: Sparks Glencoe, MD 21152 – 100% on-site
  • Payrate: $21.18/hr
  • Required Availability: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Mechanical Assembler | Summary and Highlights:

The Mechanical Assembler will perform both repetitive and non-repetitive electromechanical assembly operations on subassemblies and full instrumentation. This position requires a high level of mechanical skill and a solid understanding of assembly procedures

  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Mechanical Assembler | Responsibilities:

  • Assemble electronic and mechanical instruments, including integration of subassemblies.
  • Perform wiring, hand soldering, cable harnessing, and fitting based on diagrams and drawings.
  • Execute quality checks and maintain device history records.
  • Perform basic and routine component testing and troubleshoot assembly issues.
  • Conduct rework and reassembly for experimental or prototype builds.
  • Train team members as needed and suggest process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards (GMP).
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and planning teams.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Must be open to overtime when required.

Mechanical Assembler | Requirements :

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience, OR AA technical degree with at least 1 year of experience.
  • Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
  • Experience in a regulated environment required.
  • Electromechanical assembly experience REQUIRED
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of tools such as torque drivers and gauges.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and interpreting specifications.
  • Comfortable working in a repetitive production environment and standing for long periods.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate a Windows environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
