Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including the management of staff, inventory, shipping and receiving, while maintaining a safe and efficient environment. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Warehouse Operations
  • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of goods.
  • Oversee the warehouse budget, ensuring cost control for labor, equipment, and inventory.
  • Manage all warehouse activities including inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipment execution.
  • Execute in an SAP/EWM WMS environment.
  • Optimize warehouse layout for space utilization and efficient workflows.
  • Monitor warehouse productivity and operated a continuous improvement culture.
  • Inventory Control
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure stock levels are maintained.
  • Handle the ordering and replenishment of stock based on demand forecasts.
  • Monitor and address discrepancies in inventory counts and report any issues.
  • Management
  • Actively participate in cross-functional projects related to warehousing.
  • Develop clear, measurable objectives related to company goals and benchmark their attainment.
  • Ensure that company policies are fully implemented and supported by plant procedures and practices.
  • Accept additional responsibilities as needed in the support of company goals.
  • Health Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure that the warehouse operates in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations concerning health and safety.
  • Implement and monitor safety programs to reduce accidents, injuries, and damage to products.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and staff training on proper warehouse safety protocols.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Technical knowledge and good reasoning abilities.
  • Demonstrated sound situational judgment and the ability to manage risk.
  • Mature, enthusiastic, leader with a history of successful team building.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Excellent computer skills – advanced user of databases and spreadsheets.
  • Good organization skills with the ability to plan projects/activities with a high energy level.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and an orientation towards innovation.
  • Ability to establish credibility with others, as well as being decisive.
  • Ability to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Certification in warehouse management or logistics (e.g., OSHA, Six Sigma).
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
  • Forklift certification or experience with warehouse machinery.
