Position Summary:

Fawcett Boat Supply, a premier provider of boating products and services, is seeking a Director of Sales to lead our sales team and drive growth across retail, ecommerce and wholesale channels. This role is critical to expanding our market presence, while maintaining the high level of customer service and expertise our customers have trusted for over 75 years.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement a multi-channel sales strategy encompassing retail, wholesale, and online segments.
  • Identify growth opportunities in key boating markets including recreational boaters, wholesale, and government customers.
  • Lead sales planning to align with the company’s sales goals and business objectives.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage the sales team, including inside sale representatives, wholesale account managers, and customer service personnel.
  • Set and monitor KPIs to drive individual and team performance.
  • Provide training on product knowledge, account management techniques, and customer relationship management.

Customer & Partner Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with boatyards, yacht brokers, marine service providers, and wholesale customers.
  • Oversee key accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Represent Fawcett at boat shows, and industry events.

Business Development & Growth:

  • Expand wholesale distribution and develop strategic partnerships to grow market share.
  • Develop a competitive pricing strategy and monitor the competitive marketplace.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and inventory teams to optimize product mix and availability.
  • Support marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility and promote product lines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience, ideally in the boating and marine industry.
  • Deep understanding of the marine supply market and the needs of recreational and commercial boaters.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, exceed sales targets, and manage key customer accounts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Shopify or similar platforms a plus.
