Window and Door Installer
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Schedule: Full-time
Pay: $18-$20/hr

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Window and Door Installer to join our team. This position involves the removal and installation of windows and doors, accurate measuring and cutting of materials, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable using various tools, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Replacement

• Remove existing windows, doors, and frames

• Install new windows and doors securely and accurately

Measuring and Cutting

• Measure openings precisely to ensure a proper fit

• Cut materials such as glass or frames to the specified dimensions

Sealing and Weatherproofing

• Apply sealants and caulking to prevent air or water leaks

• Ensure all installations are weather-tight and energy-efficient

Fastening and Securing

• Use screws, bolts, and other hardware to properly secure installations

• Ensure stability and long-term durability of all work

Customer Interaction

• Communicate effectively with homeowners, contractors, and supervisors

• Address concerns professionally and provide updates as needed

Worksite Management

• Set up and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

• Dispose of old materials and debris according to safety guidelines

Tool Proficiency

• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively

• Maintain tools and report any issues promptly

Safety Compliance

• Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols

• Use proper procedures when working at heights or with hazardous materials

Additional Responsibilities May Include:

• Repairing existing windows and doors

• Working with a variety of materials such as wood, aluminum, or vinyl

• Transporting supplies and materials to and from job sites

• Consulting with clients to understand preferences and needs

• Inspecting and maintaining equipment and tools

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in window and door installation is preferred

• Ability to read measurements and use tools with precision

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are preferred
