Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the interior and exterior of library buildings in all-weather conditions Monitors (on foot and through a security camera system) buildings for unauthorized and suspicious activities Respond immediately to unusual or emergency situations Takes appropriate action to ensure the safety and security of Library staff, customers, and property Enforces TCCL policies, rules and regulations De-escalate situations and assist law enforcement or emergency responders Prepare incident and daily activity reports Closing officers will secure buildings Public restroom checks Maintains proficient use of all assigned protective equipment and life saving devices Serve at any TCCL location as needed Requirements CLEET Unarmed Security Officer License (required and maintained) Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and reliable transportation High school diploma or GED Strong communication, interpersonal, and basic computer skills Able to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends Complete and understand all required security and compliance training within 90 days of employment Physical and Environmental Conditions The work is generally physically comfortable, but occasionally requires stooping or bending. Occasional light lifting of materials (up to 20 pounds) may be required. There are occasional minor discomforts from exposure to less than optimal temperature and air conditions. The job may involve dealing with modestly unpleasant situations, such as working in a confined area for long periods of time, dealing with angry or unruly customers, occasional exposure to office chemicals and/or extensive use of video display terminals. #J-18808-Ljbffr Tulsa City-County Library
