Payroll/Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:

• Process weekly payroll for salaried, hourly and union employees using Paylocity
• Maintain employee payroll records with accuracy and confidentiality
• Respond to payroll and benefit-related employee inquiries
• Monitor and implement changes to payroll regulations and compliance standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate payroll processing
• Review and reconcile carrier invoices and approve for payment
• Fund employee 401(k) and HSA contributions
• Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of A/P, A/R, Billing, General Ledger, reporting, audits and analysis of financial statements
• Prepare regular financial reports and analysis

Payroll/Accounting Specialist Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• 3+ years of payroll/accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or construction environment
• Proven understanding of payroll systems, compliance, and reporting
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Paylocity and Sage 300
• Organized, adaptable and able to problem-solve under pressure
• Excellent communicator and team player
