Compensation: $100k–$140k/year (depending on experience)

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Lead engineering initiatives to improve manufacturing safety, efficiency, and product quality across the production floor.
• Develop CAD models, work instructions, test plans, and inspection protocols to support the launch and optimization of new products.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts through root cause analysis, mistake-proofing, and process redesign.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure products are built to specification and meet performance standards.
• Analyze manufacturing workflows and recommend automation, tooling, and fixture improvements to streamline operations.
• Oversee project timelines and milestones, ensuring deadlines are met with quality deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, and serve as the go-to resource for manufacturing documentation and change management.
• Support vendor selection and performance by developing specifications, reviewing quality outputs, and facilitating onboarding.

What you need for this position:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience in manufacturing environments with proven success in implementation and production support.
• Expertise in GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and an understanding of machine/fixture capabilities.
• Proficient in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks strongly preferred) and technical documentation.
• Strong foundation in metalworking and mechanical assembly processes.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across engineering, production, and vendor teams.
• Solid project management ability with the mindset to lead initiatives from concept to completion.
• Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools like Excel and PowerPoint.
