Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop and a strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Manage Accounts Receivable (AR): invoicing, collections follow-up
Handle Accounts Payable (AP): vendor payments, expense tracking
Record and post general journal entries
Assist with preparing financial statements and management reports
Support budgeting, forecasting, and internal auditing
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights
Maintain accurate and organized physical files and digital records
Handle correspondence with customers and vendors regarding billing and payments
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Provide additional bookkeeping and administrative support as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk, or junior accountant
Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop (required)
Knowledge of AR, AP, reconciliations, and general journal entries
Understanding of accounting concepts and financial reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (required)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage both physical filing and digital organization
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (not required with experience)
