Harlingen High School South PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Maintains all accounts for the assigned campus according to policies set for the Texas Education Agency. Financial accounting and reporting guide, local district policies and procedures, and student activity fund accounting manual.



QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Preferred Bookkeeping/Accounting Certificate



Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of bookkeeping terminology
Knowledge of bookkeeping software
Knowledge of accounting principals and practices
Proficient skills in typing, word processing, and file maintenance
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to use calculator (10-key by touch)
Ability to use personal computer and software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database



Experience:
Preferred three or more years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferably in a school environment.
