\n\nJob Description\n

The Registered Nurse in Wound Care will be responsible for assessing, analyzing, and managing patients with various wound types. This includes selecting appropriate dressings, educating patients and families on wound care techniques, and accurately documenting all assessments and treatments.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Assess and analyze wounds, considering size, depth, color, and surrounding tissue health.
\n
• Select and apply appropriate wound dressings.
\n
• Utilize various wound care techniques including debridement and irrigation.
\n
• Educate patients and families on proper wound care techniques and prevention strategies.
\n
• Maintain accurate documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and patient responses.
\n
• Implement pain management techniques related to wound care.
\n
• Provide care for patients with ostomies, including assessment and patient education.
\n
• Manage patients with continence issues, implementing appropriate interventions.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• 2 years of experience in wound care.
\n
• Certifications: BLS, WOCN, BSN required.
\n
• Recent experience with EPIC charting system is required.
\n
