Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Neuro ICU RN with Epic experience and recent large Level 1 or Level 2 facility background.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Neuro ICU unit of a hospital setting
• Care for patients with stroke, neurosurgery, neuro-specific diagnoses, complications, and complex spine cases
• Perform specialized procedures including EVD placement and therapeutic thermoregulation
• Night shifts, typically 3x12 or 4x12 (18:45-07:15), with 4x12 available by request
• 13-week assignment standard, with the option to extend up to 52 weeks by request
• Travelers may be required to float within scope as needed
• Must be able to work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment, with two holidays during the winter holiday season (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, NYE/New Year's)
• Christmas RTO cannot be approved
• Local candidates living within 100 miles are not accepted, with exceptions for those 50-99.9 miles away limited to one 13-week assignment with no extension
• Previous employees must have been separated for at least one year to be eligible as travelers
• Travelers may not return after 365 days of work on assignment, with limited exceptions
• Orientation modules provided, with up to 5 hours for core modules and 2 hours for Epic training

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Prior neuro nursing experience required
• Recent experience in large Level 1 or Level 2 trauma facility required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Must provide copies of Driver’s License and Social Security card
