Description Telephone Triage Registered Nurse at HCA Healthcare. This Work from Home position requires that you live within 60 miles of an HCA Healthcare Hospital (states: FL, GA, ID, KS, KY, MO, NV, NH, NC, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA). Job Summary And Qualifications As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care in line with state and specialty standards. You will collaborate with medical providers, advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, and embody the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure outstanding patient experiences and positive clinical outcomes. Responsibilities Provide nurse advice and triage services to consumers calling with clinical questions. Provide compassionate advice using evidence‑based clinical decision tools, enabling callers to make personal health decisions. Make cross referrals as indicated and facilitate referrals and event registration through internal transfer mechanisms. Use nursing skill and approved protocols to provide telephone triage and/or health advice to consumers with clinical questions or symptoms. Facilitate referrals for health services via telephone and perform all components of call processing. Ensure performance standards are met and accept constructive feedback. Speak with a pleasant, professional phone voice and provide superior customer service to create an exceptional patient experience. Document caller information and outcomes in a relational database system accurately and as prescribed by current standards and policies. Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA and PHI compliance. Communicate appropriately and clearly with departmental management, co‑workers, and callers, exhibiting willingness to master new work routines and methods. Provide homecare, advice and/or education to callers that respects cultural, spiritual, intellectual, educational, and psychosocial differences and preserves caller autonomy, dignity, and rights. Contribute to a collaborative, ethical work environment. Actively participate in team meetings and engage in contact center processes. Qualifications Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma – Required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred. 3+ years of bedside nursing experience – Required. Telehealth experience helpful, not required. BLS Certification – Required.
