As a Triage Nurse (RN), you will provide appropriate medical advice over the phone to our patients according to treatment plans ordered by our oncology and hematology providers, escalating treatment as necessary. Responsibilities Each typical day involves caring for patients with serious illnesses and being their trusted guide during a challenging time. You will: Provide over‑the‑phone medical advice to patients and family members. Recognize when a patient's treatment should be escalated to a provider. Deliver excellent customer service, making patients feel comfortable. Serve as a resource for patients and clinical team members on treatment regimens. Navigate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and other safety guidelines. Communicate respectfully and timely to keep all necessary team members informed. Demonstrate a go‑getter work ethic and support additional tasks as needed. Qualifications A professional nursing degree (BSN preferred) and Tennessee State Nursing licensure. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire. At least one year of prior oncology nursing experience. Manually dexterous with proper hand‑eye coordination; correctable vision and hearing within normal range. Ability to sit for extended periods; lifting limited to 40 pounds or less. Manual dexterity, full range of motion for assisting with patient lifting if needed.
