A bit about us:

We are a full-service, top 20 certified public accounting firm in NYC, specializing in accounting and consulting services for businesses and individuals. We have been in business since the early 90's.

Due to growth we are seeking a Tax Manager on our team onsite in our NYC office. We are in the office 3 days a week and 2 days remote!

We are seeking candidates who have 7+ years of tax experience in a CPA firm.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Utilize tax software such as UltraTax and Checkpoint to ensure accurate and efficient tax preparation.
• Conduct thorough research to resolve tax-related issues and provide accurate advice to clients.
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and responding to their needs in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with current tax practices and changes in tax law.
• Work closely with team members and management to ensure the efficient operation of the tax department.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
• Participate in business development activities to help expand the company's client base.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CPA candidate
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
• Strong Tax REVIEW experience.
• Proficiency in tax software such as UltraTax and Checkpoint or similar.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
