Volt is immediately hiring for a Supervisor for Sub-assembly in Franklin, WI. Direct hire, 1st shift As a Supervisor for Sub-assembly you will: Support and directing the sub-assembly area employees and attain production goals. Act as the SME on electrical-mechanical subassembly units (bench assembly, NOT assembly line) in accordance to their drawings Supervise, train and maintain good build practices, establish priorities, and set achievable goals to get desired results. Recommend improvements for procedures to enhance efficiency and quality. Maintain high standards on all mechanical and electrical operations. Maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors by communicating and enforcing safety and environmental policies. Act as a role model and make sure all employees are putting safety as their number one objective. Develop and motivate employees by monitoring performance and documenting (Qualification Matrix, etc) progress. Use professional development tools (Self-Study, E-Learn, etc) to improve, motivate, correct and enhance training. Communicate relevant Company and Department information in an accurate/timely manner and also reiterate it during the weekly stand-up meeting. Encourage feedback and suggestions from all employees. This is a full-time Direct Hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have: Associate degree in a technical or related field, or 3 to 5 years of equivalent work experience. Knowledge of metric system and a shown ability of good assembly practices. GD&T knowledge, ability to reference schematics and prints.You will serve as the SME for the sub-assembly area. Technical aptitude and knowledge of assembly processes and equipment, mechanical aptitude for automated machinery assembly. Demonstrated ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
