Job requirements include good verbal and written communication skills, customer service skills, ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management, high school diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years retail Loss Prevention experience, basic understanding of retail or security, ability to work nights and weekends, ability to stand/walk sales floor for 8 hours, ability to lift and carry 20lbs, regular attendance, ability to work independently, full understanding of Five Below policy and procedure, and general product knowledge in key departmental areas. Job responsibilities include contributing to shortage reduction/investigations, working closely with the General Manager to ensure policy compliance, maintaining the employee entrance, tracking packages delivered through the employee entrance, conducting store physical security checks and making recommendations to prevent loss, performing figure 8's in store and moving constantly, providing a visual presence at entrance/exit with courteous and professional interaction with customers, conducting safety inspections and communicating hazards to store management, and greeting customers as a Five Below associate.
