SLPAs will: Work with students to carry out therapy sessions designed by the SLP, following specific instructions and guidelines to target speech and language goals. Work directly with individuals, especially under supervision, to help with speech exercises, articulation drills, language comprehension, device programming, functional communication training, aided language modeling, or fluency improvement. Assist in documenting student progress, tracking improvements, and note any changes in behavior or response to treatment - sharing with the supervising SLP for review. Help maintain a structured, positive, and focused environment during therapy, ensuring clients remain engaged and motivated. Help in preparing materials and equipment for therapy sessions, including language games, exercises, and educational tools.
