Drawing on their entrepreneurial spirit, colleagues are encouraged each day to rise to challenges and embrace opportunities to make a difference./ph2How you will create an impact/h2ulliProduce, underwrite, manage and service a profitable book of miscellaneous medical facilities and allied healthcare business./liliUtilize underwriter authority in accordance with the published underwriting guidelines./liliHandle a portfolio of renewal and new business including accounts made up of complex risks./liliAbility to seek out and secure new and profitable business./liliManage and develop effective broker and client relationships throughout assigned territory./liliCoordinate strategy and work collaboratively with other aligned business functions including claims, actuarial, and consulting./liliWork alongside our Distribution Partners, (Business Development Managers and/or Client Directors) to effectively maximize our distribution partner network./liliEffectively negotiate and secure policy terms that align with the company directives, especially utilizing new product and service offerings to bring value to the client./liliDevelop and manage underwriting strategies for both renewals and prospects within his/her portfolio of accounts, including knowledge of the current penetration by product, and specific plans to increase company share./liliProvide direction and support to junior underwriters on new and renewal business./liliProactively foster and develop positive relationships with key customers/li/ulh2What youll need to succeed/h2ulliMinimum of 8 years experience within the Healthcare arena. Knowledge of Medical Groups is an added plus./liliBachelors Degree./liliKnowledge of specialized Healthcare forms, wordings and program structures, (i.e. loss sensitive including self-insured and deductible programs)./liliStrong interpersonal skills with emphasis on collaboration and working well with others/liliStrong relationships with retail and wholesale brokerage community/liliKnowledge of the market, portfolio management, acquisition and distribution/liliAbility to maintain audit ready underwriting files on a timely basis./liliAbility to work in a fast-paced environment making quick decisions while adhering to a sound underwriting discipline/liliAbility and willingness to be highly visible in the marketplace and travel as necessary/liliOutcome focused, self-motivated, dependable, flexible and enthusiastic/liliProficient working knowledge of Excel, Pivot Tables and Outlook./li/ulpReady to solve bigger problems?
