We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Power Engineer to contribute to our lunar missions. The main responsibility of the Senior Electrical Power Engineer is to design and develop Electrical Power Systems (EPS) for our lunar missions. In this role, you will be responsible for power architecture design, distribution, and harnessing. The selected candidate will require a strong background in high-voltage battery powered systems where power distribution and high efficiency conversion are common. Your work will not only contribute to groundbreaking missions but also to technologies that have the potential to benefit humanity on Earth. Collaborating with cross-disciplinary engineering teams, you'll bring your expertise to solve complex challenges and define the future of lunar surface mobility in a fast-paced startup environment. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop Electrical Power Systems (EPS) for class A and other lunar missions Work with multidisciplinary teams of engineers to develop solutions that meet program needs Collaborate with key vendors to improve and implement their components into our vehicle systems Work with IPT leads, program management, and systems engineering to generate, evolve, and manage program requirements, specifications, and power budgets Serve as a technical point of contact with vendors and internal teams for the electrical power system Assist in the design, planning, and execution of verification and test activities Required Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a power engineer Proven design experience in high voltage DC systems Experience with power distribution systems up to or exceeding 100 kW Experience with high voltage wiring harnesses and power distribution Familiarity with electrical power systems consisting of solar arrays, batteries, high efficiency DC-DC converters, and their interconnects Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and testing systems using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, electronics loads, signal generators, etc. Self‑motivated, focused, and driven to meet critical deadlines Excellent organization and time management skills Excellent written and oral communication skills U.S. Person Preferred Qualifications: Master of Science (MS) in electrical engineering with a power engineering focus Experience designing and qualifying radiation‑tolerant and space‑rated solutions Experience designing, simulating, and optimizing power converter topologies such as buck, boost, buck‑boost, flyback, etc. Experience designing power filters for low noise outputs and for power line electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) Familiarity with aerospace standards Any offer of employment for this position is conditional upon Lunar Outpost receiving the LTVS Phase II contract from NASA.
