The NBCRNA is the nation’s certifying body for the initial, continued, and subspecialty certification of the nation’s nearly 60,000 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists. We lead the way in the field of advanced practice nurse credentialing.

Position Summary :

The Sr. Director of Information Technology is responsible for overseeing the organization’s information technology department of 5 to include hiring and training staff, designing and implementing technology infrastructure, directing the data needs, identifying and eliminating risks to business continuity, managing key vendor relationships, and working with IT teams to support and executive the mission of the organization.

  • Develops, executes, and manages the technology strategic goals and initiatives.
  • Creates and develops business continuity protocols to mitigate disruption of all operations, in the event of an emergency.
  • Oversees the technology operations of the organization, including security, network, and policy-based initiatives.
  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
  • Maintains the IT department’s annual budget.
  • Leads organizational deployments and upgrades of key IT infrastructure, services, and software solutions.
  • Cultivates and maintains relationships with external technology vendors and consultants.
  • Leads the collection, storage, security, access and management of organizational data.
  • Creates and fosters an environment of experimentation and learning, to cultivate a culture of innovation.
  • Hires, trains and guide, the technology team of the organization.
  • Fosters interdepartmental relationships.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated strategic, analytical, and problem-solving experience to meet the business goals of the organization.
  • Proficient in latest technology for IT systems, cybersecurity, network and system administration, databases, and cloud-based systems and services.
  • Practical leadership and decision-making experience, working with technology teams, vendors, and across the organization.
  • Proven ability to create and manage organizational budgets for IT staff and resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization.
  • Experience with CRMs in the association or credentialing industry a plus.

Salary Range for Position is $140,000 - $175,000
