Job Title: Senior Benefits Administrator

Location: Greensboro, NC 100% Onsite

Pay rate: $35 TO $40 /hr on W2

Duration : 3+ months Contract with possibility if extension depends on the performance and project

Position Summary:

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Benefits Administrator to manage and administer the company’s retirement plans, including 403(b), 403(b) match, and 457(b) programs. This role serves as a key liaison between third-party administrators (TPAs), payroll, and vendor partners. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate processing, compliance with regulations, and timely resolution of employee benefit inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer company-sponsored retirement plans (403b, 403b match, 457b) including enrollments, deferral changes, distributions, and terminations.
  • Act as the main contact for coordination between payroll, third-party administrators, and plan providers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll contributions and data submission to retirement plans.
  • Maintain compliance with ERISA, IRS, DOL, and other regulatory requirements; coordinate annual audits and testing.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding plan features, participation, loans, distributions, and retirement planning.
  • Conduct employee education sessions and contribute to communication strategies for retirement planning.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date retirement plan documentation and reconcile records as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Extensive experience in retirement plan administration is a must
  • Strong understanding of benefit-related federal and state regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, Section 125, DOL requirements)
  • Experience with HRIS systems
  • Open enrollment experience
  • Proven success managing projects with outsourced benefits vendors

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • CBP (Certified Benefits Professional) or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) certification preferred
