We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Sales Associate to join our team and help our customers navigate their journey to owning the perfect boat. As a Sales Associate, you will be the cornerstone of our customer engagement, responsible for assisting customers in finding their ideal boat and facilitating a seamless purchasing process. You will utilize your product knowledge, sales skills, and customer service expertise to build strong relationships with our customers, ensuring they receive personalized and comprehensive assistance throughout their buying experience. Essential Functions include greeting and assisting customers with enthusiasm and professionalism, conducting needs assessments, providing detailed presentations of boat inventory, guiding customers through the sales process including financing and trade-in evaluations, collaborating with other departments, maintaining up-to-date inventory knowledge, achieving sales targets, staying informed about industry trends, participating in sales meetings and events, maintaining accurate records using CRM software, conducting marketing efforts, supporting daily sales operations including showroom setups and administrative tasks, and assisting with additional duties as assigned. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, proven sales experience preferably in boating or related industries, excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic math, motivation and goal orientation, professional self-presentation, confidence, coachability, flexibility, persistence, ability to create engaging content, teamwork skills, valid driver's license with clean record, and ability to work Thursday through Monday. Preferred qualifications include genuine interest in boating, experience with sales processes, understanding of boat mechanics and electronics, and CRM software experience. Working conditions involve indoor and outdoor work, frequent movement, computer operation, and occasional boat maneuvering.
