We are working with our Berkeley, CA industrial manufacturing client to recruit a Sales and Marketing Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is with a privately owned, highly successful organization that is investing in additional headcount to scale their brand awareness, lead generation and dedicate sales function. In this role, you will be responsible for working closely with ownership and leadership to guide the company's efforts to streamline, modernize and scale their brand presence, aiding in website improvements, identifying opportunities for strategic investment in ads or other campaigns, and further building the company's customer base through active and passive campaigns. Additionally, you should be comfortable communicating directly with customers, following up on leads, educating clients, attending trade shows to network, and even closing new business as needed. This is an opportunity to build and scale some infrastructure for the marketing and sales functions for this business, so while the scope of this role is wide, there is an understanding that many of these are gradual projects and processes. Additionally, you will play a critical role in launching new products and product lines for the organization. To be a fit, you should bring 5+ of similar experience, ideally blending both sales and marketing expertise, in the industrial manufacturing, semiconductor, HVAC or similar industries. Compensation varies based on experience, but base salary ranges between $130,000 and $180,000 annually. This is a bonus eligible role, varying based on company and individual performance, with significant additional earning potential. This role is ONSITE at their East Bay office , with 20-30% travel to clients and trade shows. You will: Lead sales and marketing efforts for the organization, aiding in establishing best practices to grow their business and attract new clients Gather and maintain expertise about this niche of the industrial manufacturing world, identifying competitors and target organizations, and using this knowledge to inform sales and marketing strategy Work closely with the General Manager and company ownership to aid in new product development, go-to-market planning and strategy Represent the company to prospective clients in-person and virtually, including attending trade shows and visiting client sites, primarily in the US Identify opportunities and needs to scale marketing efforts, tapping agencies, contractors and vendors and managing those relationships Communicate consistently across the organization, ensuring cohesion between sales, marketing and company goals, and providing market intel Your experience should include: 5+ years of integrated sales and marketing experience in a relevant, B2B manufacturing business, including semiconductor, HVAC or similar Experience in customer-facing work and a comfort working to sign new clients and interfacing with existing client Experience in go-to-market planning, market research and relevant marketing strategy, with experience launching new products in the B2B manufacturing space Experience in trade show planning, attendance and strategy, optimizing shows to drive new opportunity, leads and brand awareness through networking Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (marketing, engineering, business or similar) - Advanced, technical education, preferred CRM knowledge and a general understanding of digital marketing tools and principals Sound like you?
