Responsibilities

  • Serves as the leader and owner of assigned product categories, responsible for driving profitable growth by leading the cross-functional team and managing the 4Ps (Product, Price, Promotion, Placement) using a commercial, technical, financial, and operational mindset.
  • Identifying, designing, and Owning the Product Business Plans for Short Message Service Center (SMSC) and Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) / Cell Broadcast Systems / Public Warning Systems.
  • Coordinating the entire product development cycle with Technical Product Managers (TPMs), from ideation, launch and its business lifecycle.
  • Ensuring that the final products meet the needs of both the business and the end-user.
  • Setting milestones, timelines, and deliverables for the technical components of the product. In accordance with customer priorities.
  • Managing interdependencies to avoid bottlenecks and delays via close coordination with TPMs and engineering.
  • Reviewing tech specs with internal and customer technical teams.
  • Evaluating architecture, standard body specifications and market trends to position and maintain market leadership.
  • Developing strategies to increase market share and improve customer satisfaction with existing products.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product lifecycle management in the Telecommunications industry.
  • Familiarity with agile is must.
  • Hands-on experience of managing all stages of the product life cycle.
  • Technical background with knowledge of software development and web techniques.
  • Hands on experience of cloud services and technologies.
  • Natural leadership skills with the ability to lead in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong diplomacy and excellent communication skills with the ability to present and communicate effectively in front of leadership, board members, owners, and customers.
  • Strong business P&L acumen and experience to achieve profitable growth using financial tools, forecasts, reports, data to make decisions.
  • Customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering products that meet customer and user needs.
  • Skilled at conducting market research, gathering insights, and creating business cases.
  • Strong experience in strategically marketing Wireless Telecommunication products and solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to improve business processes and practices to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Ability to identify and implement best practices and continual improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business. MBA preferred.
