Pawnee Nation College GIS Specialist AmeriCorps VISTA The mission of Pawnee Nation College (PNC) is to meet the higher educational & cultural needs of the Pawnee Nation, other surrounding Indian Nations, & all who have the desire to engage in a lifetime of learning. PNC's VISTA project seeks to increase food sovereignty & increase the economic condition of individuals and families of the Pawnee Nation and neighboring tribes by empowering tribal communities to understand how to control and manage their own lands and resources. Member Duties : Design and operationalize new Geographic Information Systems (GIS) lab at PNC. Develop training for students, PN Agriculture and Property Division employees, and other stakeholders needing specific skills to compile and enter various types of data into GIS databases, digitize maps, review data for accuracy and currency, and perform geospatial modeling.
