Town of Natick Now Hiring: Parking Enforcement Officer (Part Time) The Town of Natick is seeking a reliable and professional Parking Enforcement Officer to patrol assigned areas, enforce parking regulations, and promote public compliance with local ordinances. This part-time position plays a key role in maintaining safe and orderly streets through courteous, consistent enforcement. Key Responsibilities Patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle to monitor parking compliance Issue citations or warnings for violations using a handheld device Maintain accurate records of issued violations (electronic and manual) Communicate with the Police Department via two-way radio or cell phone Respond to dispatch calls regarding parking complaints or violations Coordinate with the Traffic Division to determine when vehicles should be ticketed or towed Report damaged meters, kiosks, or missing signage Maintain assigned equipment (e.g., handheld ticketing device, printer) Answer public inquiries regarding parking rules in a courteous and professional manner Safely operate a Town vehicle when required Minimum Qualifications Valid Massachusetts driver’s license Ability to walk long distances daily and pass a physical examination Must successfully pass a CORI check and background investigation Strong understanding of parking regulations and the ability to explain them to others Good judgment, discretion, and the ability to work under varied conditions Strong communication skills—both verbal and written Professional, respectful, and tactful demeanor when interacting with the public Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions Starting salary is $ 20.00 per hour To Apply Interested candidates should submit one combined pdf document that includes a cover letter and resume with a file name (last name, job title applying, Natick) to hr@natickma.org or to the Director of Human Resources, Town of Natick, 13 East Central Street, Natick, MA 01760.
