In this role, you’ll take on advanced responsibilities in supporting and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure—ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity across all locations. This is a hands-on position that involves complex troubleshooting, proactive monitoring, and collaboration with infrastructure and security teams. The ideal candidate is confident working independently in a dynamic environment and brings a solid foundation in enterprise networking, as well as diagnostic experience using tools like Wireshark . This is an in-person role based in Memphis, TN , with occasional travel as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for network-related issues including wired and wireless connectivity, VPN access, firewalls, and switch/router configurations. Monitor network health, identify anomalies, and maintain optimal performance across wired and wireless environments. Use tools such as Wireshark for traffic analysis and root cause diagnosis. Support infrastructure upgrades and changes, including planning and implementation. Assist with the configuration and maintenance of DNS, DHCP, IP address management, VLANs, and subnetting. Collaborate with system and security teams to resolve escalated issues and enforce best practices. Document network diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Provide remote support and guidance for off-site users via secure access tools. Maintain accurate inventory of network hardware and manage firmware/software updates. Participate in business continuity efforts, including testing failover processes and disaster recovery planning. Deliver high-quality support to internal users with a focus on responsiveness and resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Strong knowledge of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, DHCP). Experience with enterprise networking equipment (Cisco, Ubiquiti, Aruba, Meraki, Fortinet, etc.). Proficient with packet capture and analysis tools - Wireshark preferred . Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios). Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing needs. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA , or similar are a strong plus. Willingness to support occasional after-hours work based on operational needs.
