Life Happens is seeking a highly skilled Motion Graphics Artist with strong video editing capabilities to join our creative team. Life Happens is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing consumers with unbiased information to help them make smart insurance decisions that protect their loved ones. To support our educational mission, we produce a wide range of creative content—including motion-graphics-driven explainer videos, social media campaigns, public service announcements, informational videos, and digital content across our website and social platforms. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented motion designer who excels in After Effects, values clean design systems and well-organized project files, and is equally comfortable refining video edits when needed. Responsibilities:

• Design and animate high-quality motion graphics, explainer videos, and visual elements primarily using After Effects, following established brand guidelines.
• Develop style frames, storyboards, and motion concepts for graphics-led video content.
• Seamlessly integrate motion graphics with live-action footage, typography, and visual assets.
• Edit and assemble video content in Premiere Pro as needed, including trimming footage, syncing audio, and organizing sequences.
• Maintain exceptionally clean and well-structured project files, including naming conventions, folder organization, and version control to support remote collaboration.
• Adapt and resize motion and video content for multiple platforms and aspect ratios (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, web, etc.).
• Update and customize existing animations or video templates to meet branding requirements (fonts, colors, logos, layouts).
• Stay current with motion design trends, tools, and workflows while maintaining a brand-consistent aesthetic.

• 4–5 years of professional experience in motion graphics and animation, with strong supporting video editing experience.
• Advanced proficiency in After Effects, with a portfolio that demonstrates refined animation, typography, pacing, and design knowledge.
• Strong working knowledge of Premiere Pro for editing and finishing motion-driven video content.
• Excellent understanding of design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
• High level of attention to detail, particularly in animation polish, design consistency, and file organization.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools including After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Media Encoder.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable managing projects independently in a remote environment.
• Must provide own computer, reliable internet connection, and software licenses.
