The Role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a scientific expert and strategic partner, bridging clinical and scientific knowledge between the company and the medical community. The MSL is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), delivering accurate and timely medical information, and supporting clinical and scientific initiatives aligned with the company’s goals.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, GC) in a life science or clinical discipline.
  
• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant MSL, clinical, or scientific experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry.
• Strong understanding of clinical research methodology, data interpretation, and therapeutic landscapes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with CAP and CLIA regulatory standards.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in molecular biology, genetics and genomics, or a similar field.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain peer-to-peer scientific relationships with KOLs, healthcare providers, and clinical investigators.
  
• Provide scientific and clinical information in response to medical inquiries in a fair and balanced manner.
• Support clinical development efforts by identifying potential trial sites and investigators, facilitating study enrollment, and providing scientific updates.
• Gather and communicate actionable medical insights to inform company strategy.
• Participate in congresses, advisory boards, and educational symposia.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies in all interactions.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and clients regarding test results.
• Responsible for staying up to date with policies.
• Collect and synthesize field insights to help shape medical and commercial strategies.
• Support competitive intelligence gathering within ethical and regulatory boundaries.
