Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This newly created role is designed to support the engineering team in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will focus on process improvement, cost analysis, and quality assurance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacturing Process Development : Develop and implement manufacturing processes, ensure tooling is optimized for manufacturability, and create/update SOPs and visual work instructions.
• Process Improvement : Analyze production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality through lean manufacturing and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Quality Assurance : Monitor product quality throughout production, assist in root cause analysis for defects, and coordinate tooling or equipment repairs with contractors as needed.
• Documentation and Reporting : Maintain technical documentation, including work instructions and manufacturing control plans, while tracking and reporting key performance metrics.

Work Environment:

• 60-70% on the shop floor, depending on project needs.
• Hands-on role in a manufacturing environment with exposure to resin dust (some employees wear masks or gloves).

Qualifications:

• Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• Experience : Minimum of 3 years in an engineering role within a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with machining, welding, CNC processes, and 3D CAD is beneficial.
• Skills : Strong mechanical aptitude, ERP software experience, knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems, and familiarity with statistical techniques like Design of Experiments (DOE) and PFMEAs. Understanding of 6S methodologies is a plus.

Compensation :

• Salary: $70K - $80K, with a top range of $85K (no bonus eligibility).
• Onsite work only (no hybrid options available).
