LifeGuides is currently seeking Guides with strong management experience and professional sports experience. We are currently seeking Guides who have experience with the following:

• Management experience in the professional sports or entertainment industry (e.g. NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS, or similar).
• Minimum of3 years of direct people management experience (5+ years strongly preferred)
• Experience managingfull-time W2 employees, ideally with a team size of3 or more employees.
• Proven responsibility forkey HR functions, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, development conversations, and termination.
• Must demonstrateleadership impact, not just a title this means leading teams through challenges, driving performance, and creating positive cultures.
• Leadership experience should be relatable, with an emphasis on real-world challenges, solutions, and insights that can connect with mentees.
• Experience in partnerships and business development is a plus.
• Relevant experience in adjacent fields such as live events, collegiate athletics, stadium operations, or experiential marketing where the pace and complexity mirror that of pro sports organizations.
• Background in partnerships, sponsorships, business development, or revenue-generating roles is a strong plus.
• Experience in cross-functional leadership or change management environments is helpful.

WHAT DO GUIDES DO?

• Have recurring sessions with members to listen, provide understanding and guidance, and ultimately help them build resilience and thrive.
• Share their experiences through content creation in the form of blog, video series, webinars, podcast.
• Participate in special projects aimed to increase the experience and operations of our Guide Community.
• Participate in ongoing training & development to optimize the member experience.
• Be active within our Guide Community to help others grow.
• Participate in client/member events.

Specialized Program Details:

In addition to working with our normal member population, youll also be paired with managers from a professional sports organization who are seeking to strengthen their leadership skills, navigate complex team dynamics, and deepen their impact. These mentees operate in fast-paced environments such as game day operations, partnerships, sponsorship, marketing, and front-office management.

Mentoring engagements are structured and guided by the LifeGuides approach and curriculum. Sessions are conducted virtually, with scheduling flexibility to accommodate both Mentor and mentee.

You will be involved in a specialized program that is customized for the employee managers of a pro sports team. Additional training will be provided. Will need to become SHRM PMQ certified. This training is not paid but a certificate will be received.

REQUIREMENTS

• Have a PC desktop, Mac or laptop with a working camera and microphone (mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones cannot be used).
• Must have a reliable internet connection.
• Must have a dedicated workspace free of distractions.
• Possess intermediate computer skills.
• Must remain at your workspace for the entirety of sessions with members.
• Must be dressed appropriately (business casual) for video calls.
• Must be willing to create a video profile.
• Must be able to commit at least 5 hours a week to be available for member sessions (not guaranteed hours).
