A Land Survey Field Technician performs routine field work and collects data using specialized equipment to measure and document land features and property boundaries, assisting Field Chiefs, surveyors and engineers in various projects. At least 1 years’ experience in field surveying operations is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Field Data Collection: Measure and record data on land, buildings, or construction projects. 
• Equipment Operation: Operate surveying instruments like total stations, GPS equipment, and other tools to collect precise data. 
• Map Creation: Help locate physical improvements on the ground to produce or update maps showing boundaries, elevation, and other terrain details. 
• Stakeout and Marking: Set out stakes and marks to conduct surveys and assist with construction layout. 
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate field notes and records if required to do so. 
• Assisting Surveyors: Work under the supervision of surveyors, providing support in the field. 
• Research and Analysis: Review written and graphic records such as plats, deeds, and previous surveys to assist in locating property corners, benchmarks, and control points.
