Job Description

Restaurant General Managers play a critical supervisory role at KFC, providing leadership and decision-making to ensure the success and profitability of the restaurant. Restaurant General Manager job duties include:

- Recruiting, hiring, and training all restaurant staff. Establish and maintain a base number of employees for each job station, i.e., cashiers (8), packers (8) 'can be interchanged with cashiers,' fry cooks (6), outside maintenance (1)
- Run POS reports and take action on areas of concern
- Review weekly profit and loss statements and take necessary actions to correct deficiencies
- Scheduling employees to ensure shifts have proper coverage and meet labor budget
- Complete daily inventory of:
- Chicken
- Breading
- Seasonings
- Sides
- Drink (Soda) Syrup

- Monitoring restaurant finances, including sales and expenses
- Enforcing food handling regulations and other guidelines to increase guest safety. (Wash hands)
- Promoting the restaurant and finding ways to bring in more customers. Ensure cashiers are suggesting additional items, (At least one)
- Handling customer complaints professionally
- Completing necessary paperwork, such as sales, inventory, and staff hours worked reports

Requirements:

KFC Restaurant General Manager experience requirements:
While there are no standardized experience requirements, most KFC Managers have several years of experience in the industry. Candidates for Restaurant General Manager careers typically have previous experience in a food service supervisory role, such as a Shift Supervisor or Assistant Restaurant Manager. Managers from other industries might move over to the restaurant industry if they have sufficient management experience that can transfer.

KFC Restaurant General Manager education and training requirements:
There are no established education or training requirements to become a KFC Restaurant General Manager. Some Managers begin with only a high school diploma, starting as a cashier, prep person, or cook and moving up through supervisory and management positions. Some companies prefer candidates who have an associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field, but we look for honesty, a good work ethic, dependability, and professionalism
