Key Responsibilities Lead strategic investments across the full lifecycle: sourcing and evaluating opportunities, executing transactions, managing due diligence and investment committee preparation. Track and deliver portfolio management objectives: oversee governance, reporting and promote collaboration between Pearson and portfolio companies. Develop strategic partnerships: identify partnership needs with business divisions, develop commercial partnership opportunities and support execution, monitor progress and ensure clear communication throughout the partnership lifecycle. Qualifications & Skills Essential Experience Background in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting or corporate strategy/M&A/business development. Direct investment experience including board participation and strategic guidance to portfolio companies. Strong financial modelling and valuation skills. Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and structure deals. Additional Qualities Proven ability to lead and work within high‑performing teams. Credibility with senior/executive management and ability to build influential relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and high emotional intelligence. Self‑starter with a results‑driven approach, able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with AI productivity tools. Compensation The minimum full‑time salary range is $165,000 – $205,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program. Information on benefits offered is available here.
