METROPOLITAN VETERINARY CENTER has an exciting opportunity for a HOSPITAL MANAGER ( PRACTICE MANAGER ) to join our team!
What We Are Looking For:
We’re seeking an energetic and proactive individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for both animal care and client service to fill the role of Practice Manager. Veterinary experience is highly preferred. CVPM is a plus, and we also welcome Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs) or Veterinary Assistants (VAs) looking to transition into leadership. Strong management experience with a proven history of driving growth within a practice is essential.

Job Summary:
The Practice Manager is a key member of the MVP hospital management team, reporting to the Regional Director. Responsibilities include overseeing clinic operations, providing strategic leadership, ensuring ethical patient care, identifying growth opportunities, and managing budgets and P&L.
Responsibilities
How you'll make an impact:
Maintain and uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of MVP.
Supervise recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, and staff relations.
Improve employee satisfaction by 10%+ annually.
Provide leadership and foster a positive work environment.
Drive hospital trends affecting customer satisfaction and operational metrics.
Achieve 5%+ organic revenue growth and 20%+ net income at the clinic level.
Monitor metrics and identify growth opportunities.
Assess competition and implement strategic responses.
Enhance customer satisfaction and patient retention by 10%+ annually.
Ensure clinic appearance aligns with perception standards.
Address service gaps and implement improvements.
Develop client management strategies.
Collaborate with management and staff across departments.
Follow all employment policies and legal regulations.
Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Develop staffing plans for optimal team performance.
Ensure compliance with wage laws and safety standards.
Qualifications
Minimum three years of management experience.
Preferred: B.A. in Management or Leadership, M.B.A., CVPM, CVT/LVT.
Veterinary experience preferred.
Comfort around pets; commitment to MVP core values.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and practice management software.
Empathy and respect for teammates and patients.
Ability to handle emotional and challenging situations.
