Hiawatha HomeCare has an immediate opportunity for a caring nurse to provide 1:1 care for a client in St. Paul!

*Schedule:*
* Nights, 10p-7a, with some flexibility.

*Client Specifics:*
* 19 years old
* Down Syndrome with cardiac complications

*Pay:*
* Registered Nurse (RN): $32.00 - $40.25 per hour (DOE)
* Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): $25.00 - $31.00 per hour (DOE)

*Core Responsibilities:*
* Provides home care nursing in accordance with the physician's plan of care.
* Reports significant changes in the client's condition to the family, RN Clinical Manager, & physician.
* Obtains physician orders for changing client care needs.
* Maintains accurate & current plan of care, physician's orders, and medication profile for the client.
* Charts cares thoroughly & accurately during shift.
* Provides advice & support to clients & their families.

The birth of Ted & Karen Seifert’s son, Michael, ultimately led to the birth of Hiawatha HomeCare. Michael Seifert was born with a rare and serious illness, along with profound disabilities. When he was one, doctors said he would spend the rest of his life in the ICU. Karen disagreed, and Michael came home on life support. Michael was Hiawatha’s first client, and this experience became the foundation for our continued commitment and dedication to keep families together through home health care. Michael passed away in 2023, but his memory will be forever woven into the fabric of our agency, and his story serves as a daily reminder of the power of “Homecare from the heart.”
