AMP is hiring a Full-stack Software Engineer reporting to Engineering Manager, Machine Learning on a remote basis.

AMP doesn't just do machine learning, we are driven forward by it. Our core technology revolves around deep-learned models applied to robotics domains, and we are always striving to level up our offering. In this role, you'll help build and improve our ML Platform—especially the Data Annotation Platform and its supporting cloud infrastructure—working closely with our ML and Data Operations teams.

As a Full-stack Software Engineer, you will work to:

  • Be responsible for contributing to the maintenance and feature development of our Data Annotation platform and surrounding cloud infrastructure
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects and development efforts to support our AI lifecycle and ML platform.

The successful candidate will have:

Required:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering
  • 2-4 years experience writing production-level code in Python
  • 2-4 years experience writing production-level code in a modern frontend Javascript framework (Angular preferred)
  • 2+ years experience working with SQL databases and data pipelines
  • 1+ years experience in container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker) and CI/CD development (Gitlab CI preferred)
  • 2+ years cloud development experience, preferably in GCP
  • 2+ years experience designing production software and data pipelines
  • Experience with Python web development frameworks (Flask, Django, FastAPI)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of professional software engineering practices; including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, project management, testing, and operations.
  • Ability to work on a small team and work independently.

Preferred:

  • 2+ years experience managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (ex. Terraform)
  • Familiarity with Cloud networking.
  • Familiarity with the machine learning lifecycle
  • A startup mentality and a passion for recycling, robotics, and changing the world

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar, or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.

Salary & Compensation Information : $129,831 - $160,000 per year

Equity Grant: The candidate selected for this role will be recommended for a stock option grant commensurate with the position and the candidate's qualifications.
