Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking a French Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year at an independent school in Hebron, ME.

French Teacher Responsibilities:

• Willingness to teach four sections of middle or upper school French.
• Providing conversational classes where pronunciation and important words and phrases are taught.
• Conducting research on teaching methods, materials, and language games that can be used in class.
• Scheduling and preparing students for oral and written examinations.
• Monitoring student's progress by writing up reports and grading assessments.
• Organizing feedback sessions with students and their parents if applicable.
• Organizing fun events where students can showcase their French language skills.
• Serve as an advisor for students ensuring student success.

French Teacher Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, or equivalent required. Master's degree preferred.
• Native speaker or fluency in French required.
• 2-5 years of previous teaching experience preferred.
• No teaching license or credential is required.
• Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.
• A desire to be involved in extra-curricular activities as well as the broader school community.
• Well-organized and able to handle multiple responsibilities.
• Detail-oriented and resilient.
