St. Coleman Catholic School, located in Pompano Beach, Florida is looking to hire a full-time Exceptional Student Education Coordinator for the 2025-26 school year. The ESE Coordinator performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Functions and Responsibilities:

• Writes, implements, monitors, and maintains individual learning plans (ILP) that will guide each ESE students instructional program based on student assessments, needs and strengths.
• Maintains accurate and complete ILP documentation as per ADOM.
• Meets with parents to review ILP and record progress and concerns.
• Organizes, prepares, and leads Staffing Meetings with faculty, parents, and guidance counselor to better meet the needs of the student.
• Assists students in learning to utilize assistive technology (iPad) tools to support their learning and growth.
• Represents our school at the appropriate conferences and workshops pertaining to ESE.
• Evaluates documentation in an appropriate manner based on the students disability, ILP, or special learning needs.
• Acts as liaison/coordinator of ILP with our faculty.
• Actively builds strong relationships with parents, guardians, and families that foster trust, collaboration, and communication.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Masters degree in Special Education.
• Florida Department of Education Professional Certificate in Exceptional Student Education in grades K-12.
• Experience with teaching multi-grade level students with varying cognitive/developmental exceptionalities or disabilities, with proficiency in effective strategies.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
• Strong presentation skills with use of instructional technologies.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church.
