Job Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to provide immediate recognition, evaluation, care, stabilization, and disposition of a diverse patient population in response to acute illness and injury in the Emergency Department (ED). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Treating injuries and illnesses in the ED as an independent practitioner certified in Emergency Medicine.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and participating in hospital committees to ensure effective communication among ED clinicians and hospital staff.
• Working with residents in the academic affiliate as they develop emergency medicine skills.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE)
• US Citizen

Working hours are 80 hours per pay period with rotating shifts to cover 24/7/365 patient care needs.
