Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detailed individual to join our team as an eDiscovery & ESI Management Professional. The role requires a high level of organization, a strong understanding of data management practices, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Our Impact:

The eDiscovery and ESI Management team (EEM) is a unit of Legal supporting the eDiscovery process across the full lifecycle, from legal hold identification and preservation to data collection, processing and hosting.

Your Impact:

In this position, you will assist legal teams and other partners in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality. Responsibilities would also include:

  1. Preservation and Legal hold identification
    • Assist in identifying and implementing legal holds for relevant data custodians
    • Collaborate with legal and IT team to ensure data preservation policies are followed
    • Help track and manage legal hold process, ensuring that custodians are notified, and appropriate actions are taken to preserve relevant data
    • Maintain records related to legal hold, including issuing, releasing and tracking of all legal hold when litigation or investigations are initiated or concluded.
  2. Collection
    • Assist in the collection, processing and review of electronic evidence from various data sources (e.g. emails, Teams, Desktop, SharePoint, etc.)
    • Perform data collection while preserving the integrity of the data and ensuring proper chain of custody
    • Use eDiscovery tools and techniques to streamline the collection process, ensuring efficiency and compliance with legal requirements
  3. Processing
    • Support the processing of collected data, including filtering, de-duplication, and converting files to reviewable formats
    • Maintain and troubleshoot eDiscovery processing tools to ensure data is prepared and formatted properly for review
    • Assist with the creation of load files, document identification and preparing data for hosting in review platforms
  4. Hosting
    • Support the setup and management of data in eDiscovery hosting platform (e.g Reveal, Relativity)
    • Ensure data is organized, tagged, and searchable, and perform quality checks to ensure that data is ready for review
    • Assist in managing user permissions and roles within hosting platforms

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science or Legal Studies.
  • Basic understanding of legal hold processes, eDiscovery workflows, and related technology platforms
  • Familiar with eDiscovery software tools (e.g., Relativity, Reveal) is a plus
  • Strong technical proficiency with an understanding of data formats, metadata, and document management systems
  • Detailed with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the team and also independently with little supervision

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
