Overview

Security Management Resources, Inc. is kicking off the summer with an exciting new search for a Director of Global Security. Our client, a subsidiary of a prominent manufacturer based in the EMEA region, is expanding their executive leadership team. They are looking for an experienced security professional to develop, execute, and oversee their US-based global security initiatives. This position offers an exceptional career opportunity for individuals with a combination of experience in both the public and private sectors. A strong grasp of international manufacturing and its associated supply chain challenges will be essential for success in this role. Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and oversee a comprehensive global security strategy to protect personnel, physical assets, intellectual property, and critical business operations.
  • Conduct security assessments and implement remediation measures as needed.
  • Direct physical security projects and initiatives, integrating relevant systems and technologies.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, including the management of security guarding programs.
  • Manage the development and implementation of crisis management strategies, including the creation of training exercises and comprehensive response plans.
  • Assist with executive protection, event security, and travel security planning and execution.

Requirements, Skills, and Competencies

  • Experience implementing security programs and managing supply chain security issues in a manufacturing environment is a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus continuing education in a related discipline such as criminal justice or security management.
  • Proven advancement to leadership roles through a combination of prior federal government experience and private sector corporate security.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams across multiple regions, complemented by exceptional relationship management and negotiation abilities.
  • US citizenship and possession of a valid US passport are required.
  • Native-level English speaker required with proficiency in additional languages preferred.
