KPMG is currently seeking a Director to join our Enterprise Contracting Center: State & Local Government Team.

Responsibilities

• Apply a comprehensive, specialist level knowledge of contract lifecycle management to set and drive a service management-centric strategy for ECC contracts team(s); ensure consistent application of guidance in providing advice or other solutions to the ECC and business area professionals; ensure contracting processes are followed by contract managers per business, Risk Management, Independence, and Office of General Counsel requirements
• Strategic and proactive responsibility to contribute to ECC goals by participating in the development and execution of tactical plans that improve client service, create incremental client value, achieve cost savings, and support process re-engineering
• Direct or contribute on multiple key projects and initiatives requiring advanced contract management knowledge and negotiation skills; make independent decisions on high risk and complex matters; identify process improvements and drive innovation
• Regularly interface with partners and professionals to champion ECC's value and with client leaders to provide a positive impression of the firm
• Provide advice and recommendations to improve client service based on understanding of client needs; assess and mitigate risks and issues; provide insights on intellectual property protection issues and terms
• Active coaching, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing with junior staff; manage and review work, plan for short-term needs, and may have people management responsibility for a mid-sized to small team

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of experience in contract management, procurement, and/or deal desk with leadership of contract management professionals, preferably in professional services in Federal, SLG or commercial contracting
• Bachelor's degree; master's degree preferred
• Ability to manage multiple programs and apply leading contract lifecycle management practices; understanding of legal matters
• Exceptional verbal/written communication, collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills; ability to lead with customer service and teamwork; ability to direct, motivate and allocate resources
• Certified in Contract Management, such as NCMA preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future
