DESIGN ENGINEER – INJECTION MOLDING

Join a growing engineering team where you’ll take ownership of new product design from concept through launch. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on design work, close collaboration with tooling and manufacturing teams, and the satisfaction of seeing designs move quickly from CAD to production.

You’ll be involved in creating and refining injection molded components for high-performance applications, working with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are both manufacturable and cost-effective. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop injection molded components and assemblies from concept through production release.
• Collaborate with tooling, materials, and manufacturing teams to ensure design-for-manufacturability (DFM).
• Lead design reviews, tolerance analyses, and feasibility studies.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and BOMs.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and validation.
• Implement engineering changes and documentation updates throughout the product lifecycle.
• Work closely with project engineers to support launch timelines and cost targets.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Plastics Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in product design for injection molded components.
• 3+ years of automotive experience
• Proficiency with 3D CATIA
• Understanding of tooling design, materials, and manufacturing processes for injection molding.
• Experience with GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and component validation testing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
