Job Title: Data Analyst/Medeler - W2 only - We can provide sponsorship

Duration: Long Term

Location: Westlake, TX - Hybrid - Local

Must Have:

Solid SQL for data gathering and analysis is a must,

Snowflake

Oracle

AWS

Modeling tool, either (PowerDesigner or Erwin)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Discovery & Alignment

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and data needs.
• Identify data-related pain points and map data requirements to business goals.
• Assist in documenting key data domains and creating high-level entity relationship diagrams (ERDs).

2. Governance & Quality Foundation

• Support the definition of data ownership, stewardship roles, and governance policies.
• Contribute to the development and monitoring of data quality KPIs.
• Assist in evaluating and improving metadata tools and documentation standards.

3. Security, Tools & Usage

• Help classify and secure sensitive data in compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, SEC).
• Analyze current data tools and support the standardization of modeling and reporting toolkits.
• Track data usage patterns and support analytics initiatives through dashboards and reports.

4. Scalability & Execution

• Support change management processes for data model updates.
• Contribute to the development of a scalable and actionable data strategy roadmap.
• Assist in prioritizing initiatives and tracking progress toward short- and long-term goals.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain a centralized inventory of data models and ensure integration of KPIs and analytics.
• Support technical governance processes, including version control and CI/CD for data models.
• Collaborate with consultants and internal teams to implement tools and build capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, data governance, or data modeling.
• Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Snowflake, Alation, or similar.
• Strong understanding of data quality metrics, metadata management, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
