Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manager – Contracts to lead bid and tender strategy, contract management, and execution support for solar and renewable energy projects . The role involves close coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within budget, schedule, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of bid/tender strategies for solar projects.
- Manage the preparation, review, and submission of bid/tender documentation in line with competitive bidding processes.
- Identify commercial, contractual, and execution risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Assess permitting, environmental, and jurisdictional approval requirements , including their commercial and schedule impact on project execution.
- Lead contract negotiation and contract management , including contract specifications, subcontractor selection, project insurance, and statutory approvals.
- Review and manage technical and commercial evaluations for subcontractors, including scope, schedules, budgets, EHS plans, and permit compliance.
- Coordinate with owners, owners’ engineers, EPC contractors, utilities, and equipment vendors to ensure compliance with contractual terms and delivery milestones.
- Ensure quality assurance and safe construction practices through site inspections and coordination with third-party inspection agencies, as required.
- Lead and facilitate project review and status meetings with utilities, EPCs, off-takers, and financial stakeholders using detailed project plans and status dashboards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: B.Tech / B.E / M.Tech (any specialization)
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector , preferably solar EPC projects
- Strong exposure to bidding, tendering, contract administration, and project execution
