Overview Design and implement a strategy for engaging an offshore accounting partner to support core functions such as bookkeeping, payroll, compliance, and client deliverables. Evaluate and recommend offshore destinations (e.g., India, Philippines, Eastern Europe) based on cost efficiency, talent availability, and scalability. Develop transparent frameworks for vendor selection, due diligence, and contract negotiation. Build standardized workflows for collaboration between onshore and offshore teams, focusing on automation, data security, and process integrity. Identify key operational bottlenecks in current accounting processes and recommend solutions through outsourcing, automation, or process re-engineering. Act as the primary liaison between firm leadership, offshore vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth transition and adoption. Oversee project management of the offshore setup, including timelines, resources, risk management, and stakeholder communication. Qualifications Required Experience & Skills: 5–10 years of consulting or operational experience in setting up and managing offshore accounting or finance functions. Strong knowledge of accounting workflows and Client Accounting Services (CAS). Familiarity with offshore markets and service providers (India, Philippines, etc.). Proven experience in vendor evaluation, onboarding, and relationship management. Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and confidentiality considerations in cross-border accounting processes. Excellent communication and project management skills, with ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Experience & Skills: Prior experience working with accounting or professional services firms. Knowledge of RPA, workflow automation, or BI tools for process improvements. Hands-on experience with financial software commonly used in CAS and accounting firms.
