The responsibilities and requirements for the position of Roofing Superintendent  are not limited to what's below:

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily field operations for commercial roofing projects, from start to finish.
• Supervise, mentor, and coordinate field crews and subcontractors, ensuring efficient and professional work.
• Enforce strict compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to guarantee work meets project specifications and manufacturer warranty requirements.
• Coordinate material, equipment, and manpower logistics to prevent delays and ensure project schedules are met.
• Act as the primary on-site liaison for project managers, clients, and general contractors, providing regular updates and resolving issues promptly.
• Read and interpret blueprints, architectural plans, and technical specifications to ensure accurate installation.
• Complete and submit accurate daily reports, labor tracking, and other project documentation.
• Assist in pre-construction meetings and project closeout activities, including final inspections and punch lists.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience : A minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Commercial Roofing Superintendent or in a senior field leadership role.
• Technical expertise : In-depth knowledge of various commercial roofing systems, such as TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen (hot/cold/torch-applied), and metal roofing and flashing.
• Leadership : Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate crews to perform high-quality work efficiently.
• Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and problem-solving mindset for interacting with clients and teams.
• Project management : Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, control costs, and track labor.
• Safety : Current OSHA 10 or 30 certification is highly preferred.
• Other requirements :
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and project management software (such as Procore).
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as required.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary : Competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000–$100,000+, depending on experience.
